About

Vertex Physics is a peer-reviewed journal committed to the rapid publication of impactful advances across all areas of physics. We publish original research articles and review papers that report new discoveries, foundational developments, and innovative approaches in both theoretical and experimental physics. The journal particularly welcomes submissions that present transformative ideas or contribute substantially to the progress of the field.

Aims and Scope

Aims and Scope

Vertex Physics publishes original contributions that advance our understanding of physical phenomena—from the most fundamental particles and forces to the emergent behavior of complex systems. We welcome submissions from all major domains of physics, including but not limited to:

Quantum physics and quantum information

Condensed matter and materials physics

High-energy and particle physics

Astrophysics and cosmology

Atomic, molecular, and optical physics

Statistical physics and complex systems

Plasma physics and fluid dynamics

Applied, interdisciplinary, and computational physics

We are especially interested in manuscripts that offer conceptual breakthroughs, cross-disciplinary insights, or unifying frameworks that shape the future of physical science.

The journal also provides a venue for reflective and contextual content—highlighting the broader meaning, history, and societal relevance of key developments in physics.

Submission Checklist

1. Introduction

Vertex Physics aims to provide a rigorous and fair platform for physics researchers worldwide.

We accept original research, reviews, perspectives, and other formats. This page guides you through all steps from submission to publication.

Prepare Your Manuscript

Peer Review

All submissions to Vertex Physics undergo a rigorous single-blind peer review process. Reviewers remain anonymous to the authors.

Review Process

Ÿ   All submissions are first evaluated by the editorial team for fit and scientific quality.

Ÿ   Typically reviewed by at least two external referees.

Ÿ   Reviewers are expected to provide comments within 3-4 weeks.

Ÿ   Editors make decisions: Accept, Revise, or Reject.

Ÿ   Authors may revise and resubmit with a response to reviewers.

Ÿ   Revised manuscripts may undergo re-review.

Reviewers must treat all materials as confidential and disclose any conflicts of interest.

Submission Dates and Revisions

Ÿ   The receipt date of a manuscript reflects the first submission via the Vertex Physics platform and appears in the published article.

Ÿ   A revised date will be noted if major revisions are submitted.

Ÿ   Manuscripts with significant delays or restructuring may be treated as new submissions.

Publication Fees

Article Processing Charges (APC)

To support open access, many journals require authors to pay article processing charges (APCs). However, Vertex Physics currently waives all APCs as part of our launch phase.

Current APC Policy:

Ÿ   No APCs will be charged for submissions received before [insert date, e.g., December 31, 2026]

Ÿ   This waiver applies to all article types and all authors

We aim to ensure that publication decisions are based solely on scientific merit, not on authors’ ability to pay.

Any changes to APC policy will be communicated clearly in advance on the journal website.

Publication Cycle
